This German bedside lamp from the 1960s exemplifies the functional aesthetics of mid-century modern design. Its construction features a round metal base in a warm, creamy beige, finished in a matte, subtly textured surface. The large, circular push-button switch is integrated into the top of the base, a distinctive detail of the era. The gently curved brass arm, showing visible patina, supports a polished, slightly reflective lampshade holder with characteristic ventilation slots. The ribbed, opaline white glass shade has a soft satin finish, diffusing light gently throughout the space. The lamp is equipped with an adjustable shade for directional lighting, as well as a white power cord and a modern plug—likely a later replacement. Compact proportions (25 cm high, 14 cm wide) make it practical for bedside use.
