This modernist bedside lamp, produced by Massive Belgium in the 1970s, exemplifies late modernism with minimalist influences. Its construction features a cylindrical, matte white plastic base combined with a pressed glass dome shade in a warm-toned, slightly yellow-beige hue. The shade is adorned with pronounced vertical grooves that flow in soft, undulating waves, imparting both tactile interest and a discreet decorative element. The glossy glass contrasts with the matte plastic base, and the proportional interplay between the spherical shade and geometric pedestal presents a visually clear, yet dynamic, composition. The interior reveals a dark-tone E27 bulb socket (max 40W) and a white cable with an inline switch. The lamp remains in very good original condition, with only slight signs of use typical for authentic 1970s design.
