This Thonet bistro chair from the 1920s is crafted from solid oak in a light, natural tone with a subtle, warm matte finish. The molded plywood backrest reveals a visible wood grain and gentle patina, highlighting the authenticity of the material. Gracefully curved bentwood legs and a rounded seat evoke the early 20th-century European tradition of bentwood design. Exposed joinery, such as finger joints on the seat frame and visible screws, reference Thonet’s artisanal heritage. Delicate brass floral accents around the backrest screws add a refined, decorative touch. The proportions are balanced, and the slightly reclined backrest offers comfortable support. The chair is preserved in very good condition, with only minor traces of use typical for its age and no major damage.
