A pair of modernist wall sconces produced by Spółdzielnia Pracy Elmed in Zabrze in the 1960s. The construction features a combination of matte black lacquered steel and details in satin-finished copper. Each sconce is fitted with a profiled glass shade, slightly amber-tinted with a twisted spiral pattern. Distinct geometric proportions, horizontal and vertical lines, and visible, precise metal joints define the design. The overall look references modernist aesthetics, highlighting the contrast of materials and the function-driven form. The lamps are preserved in very good vintage condition, with subtle patina on the copper and minimal signs of age on the steel; the glass is intact, retaining its structure and color. Designed for E14 bulbs. These sconces evoke the calm and clarity of modernist material experiments: copper and steel form a balanced duo, while the profiled glass draws attention with a gentle play of light and shadow.
