Designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen in the 1970s, this Danish bookcase embodies the mature spirit of Scandinavian modernism, balancing functionality with the understated elegance of premium materials. Supported by solid black wooden legs, the wide structure is finished in rosewood veneer with a rich, warm brown tone and prominent wood grain. The semi-matte finish subtly highlights the natural texture, while the slightly lighter, golden-brown fronts of the shelves and compartments introduce a gentle contrast. Inside, three adjustable shelves and two closed compartments—one discreetly fitted with lighting—offer versatile storage. Small, dark, round knobs and two cable management holes at the back reflect the designer’s practical adaptation to contemporary needs.
