This rosewood bookcase, produced by the Danish manufacturer Hundevad&Co. in the 1970s, exemplifies mature Scandinavian modernism. The construction is based on a rectangular form set on a slightly recessed plinth base, lending both stability and understated elegance. The surface is finished in rosewood veneer, revealing a rich wood grain with medium to dark brown hues and subtle reddish undertones, highlighted by a semi-gloss finish. The upper section features adjustable shelves and vertical dividers for effortless organization of books or collections. The lower segment comprises two sliding doors with bookmatched veneer and elongated, oval-shaped recessed handles; behind these, a spacious cabinet with additional adjustable shelves and a drawer is concealed.
