ABOUT PRODUCTID 6378
This bookcase, designed by Bertil Fridhagen for the Swedish manufacturer Bodafors in the 1960s, exemplifies classic Scandinavian modernism. The body is finished with a warm, medium-brown teak veneer, displaying a pronounced grain pattern; the semi-matte surface highlights the natural depth of the wood without overwhelming gloss. The structure stands on four slender, tapered solid wood legs stained in matte black, creating a subtle contrast against the teak frame. Inside, the bookcase offers practical, height-adjustable shelves and a lockable bar compartment with an additional insert of drawers and a divider. The back wall of the bar section features a cable opening, and the original key remains functional. The piece is characterized by precise joinery, carefully finished edges, and discreet, integrated handles. The bookcase is in very good condition: the surface has been refreshed, with only minor scratches and small edge marks visible—typical for a vintage
