ABOUT PRODUCTID 5827
This antique display cabinet–bookcase from Northern Europe, dating to around 1890, exemplifies late 19th-century craftsmanship in solid wood with a warm, medium honey-brown tone and distinctive, natural grain patterns accented by darker highlights. The construction is robust, featuring precise joinery and original brass hardware, including locks and keys. Two large, curved glass doors with undulating frames reflect Biedermeier and early Art Nouveau influences, while the gently arched top and subtly shaped base—supported by small bracket feet—add a refined, decorative touch. The lower sections of the doors are adorned with intricately veneered panels and restrained carved details, emphasizing artisanal skill. Inside, several matching wooden shelves provide practical display space. The piece is in excellent, restored condition: the surface is polished and smooth, free from visible wear, patina, or damage, and all elements remain authentic and superbly preserved. The cabinet evokes the spirit of the late 19th and early 20th centuries—a period when Northern European interiors valued both utility and the evolving language
