ABOUT PRODUCTID 11260
The 'Borówka' ladle represents early 20th-century Polish craftsmanship, produced by Norblin in the 1920s. Made of brass plated with silver, it features a long, gently tapering handle and a deep, rounded bowl. The prevailing tone is a warm, slightly yellowed silver with a subtle patina that highlights its authenticity and age. The matte surface contrasts with areas of gentle shine, particularly on the bowl, which offers a soft reflective quality. The handle is adorned with a raised motif of berries and leaves, blending Art Nouveau ornamentalism with early Art Deco clarity. The build is solid, with seamless transitions and an integrated handle. Minor signs of age are present: slight discolorations, small scratches, and localized wear to the silver plating, mainly on the handle. The overall condition is very good, with all original decorative details preserved and the historical character intact. This ladle echoes the spirit of interwar Poland—a time when artistic craftsmanship drew from the latest European trends, fusing the organic softness of Art Nouveau with the emerging orderliness of Art Deco. The raised berry and leaf motif on the handle evokes the ambience of old salons and festive tables, where every detail mattered and the silvery patina told stories of countless family gatherings. The ladle can be used for festive dining, paired with period porcelain or contemporary minimalist tableware, acting as a subtle vintage accent. It also serves as a decorative piece in the kitchen or dining room, best combined with linen tablecloths, cut glass, or other silver accessories. In eclectic interiors, it may highlight its historical context, while in classic settings, it introduces a note of genuine craftsmanship.
