The 'antico' bottle vase, designed by Zbigniew Horbowy in 1971 for Huta Szkła 'Sudety' in Szczytna Śląska, exemplifies Polish glass modernism of the 1970s. Crafted from mass-colored soda glass in an intense, cool green, its body is permeated with countless tiny air bubbles, characteristic of the foamed glass technique. The vase’s silhouette is inspired by the classic bottle: a wide, rounded base gently transitions into a slender neck that subtly flares at the rim. The semi-gloss surface reflects light softly, the rim is thickened and smoothly finished, and the base is stable and slightly concave. There is no added decoration; the focus remains on color, texture, and proportion. The vase is preserved in excellent, original condition, free from damage, chips, or restoration.
