The Andromeda Bowl No 5637, attributed to Jaroslav Beránek for Skrdlovice in the 1960s, is a distinctive example of mid-century Czechoslovak studio glass. Hand-formed, its swirling, twisted silhouette flows gently from saturated chartreuse—a luminous yellow-green—at the base, to increasingly lighter, nearly colorless tones at the rim. The glass, highly polished and transparent, reveals subtle color gradients and dynamic refractions of light, accentuated by its ribbed, organic form. There are no visible joints or construction marks, and the smoothly ground base is a testament to the era’s Bohemian craft precision.
