The Cascada glass bowl, designed by Ander Gunnar for the Swedish Lindshammar glassworks in the 1960s, exemplifies hand-crafted Scandinavian modernism. The form features a harmonious, organic line with gently curved sides and a wide opening, balanced by a slightly thicker, stable base. The glass displays a warm amber hue, enriched by a golden-brown marbled pattern that flows across the surface. Numerous small air bubbles, typical of hand-blown glass, add depth and unique texture to the piece. The surface is glossy and highly reflective, lending the bowl a striking, lustrous appearance. The bowl is signed on the underside with the designer’s and manufacturer’s marks, as well as a series number. Condition is very good, with no visible chips or cracks—only minimal signs of age consistent with vintage glass.This bowl captures the spirit of 1960s northern Sweden, where glass became both a functional object and a stage for light and color.
