ABOUT PRODUCTID 6104
This ceramic bowl, designed by Giovanni Desimone, was crafted in the 1960s at the artist's workshop in Palermo, Sicily. Made of glazed ceramic, it draws attention through its hand-painted decoration: the exterior and rim are finished in a warm, off-white glaze accented by a band of bold, cobalt blue dots forming a rhythmic, irregular pattern. The interior features a wide, brick-red band and a yellow-green ring just below the rim. At the center of the bowl lies a circular motif in shades of yellow and black, surrounded by green and yellow lines, creating a lively, almost abstract composition. The glossy glaze enhances the color saturation and provides a smooth, tactile surface. The simple, rounded form is characteristic of mid-century modern aesthetics, while visible brushstrokes and subtle irregularities attest to its artisanal, handmade origin. The bowl is signed and preserved in very good condition – no cracks, chips, or visible damage. This
