This English brandy warming pan from 1900–1920 exemplifies utilitarian design where function is balanced by the understated craftsmanship typical of the Edwardian and late Victorian eras. The body is made of silver-plated brass, presenting a cool, gently warm silvery hue with a soft satin sheen—neither fully matte nor highly polished. Signs of wear reveal the golden brass beneath, especially on the base and rim. The cylindrical, low-profile pan features a precise pouring spout and an elongated handle made of turned wood, stained a deep black with a glossy finish that highlights the grain. The handle is secured with a visible metal fitting, emphasizing the quality of period construction, and the piece bears a maker’s mark and EPNS hallmark for authenticity.
