ABOUT PRODUCTID 2350
This pendant lamp by Vitrika was produced in Denmark in the 1970s, designed by A. Dutka. Made of metal with a satin, golden brass finish, it features a tiered, disc-like structure characteristic of Scandinavian modernism. The form consists of a wide, shallow dome and a smaller cylindrical section, both with a smooth surface and subtle sheen. Suspended from a black coiled cable, the lamp offers adjustable height from 0.7 to 1.5 meters. The minimalist approach to detail is evident in the precise joints and restrained decor. It accommodates an E27 light source and measures 48 cm in diameter. Minor signs of use are present: a small age-related crack on the inner ring and a slight indentation in the ceiling canopy related to external wiring. The lamp conveys a sense of calm and balance through its geometric lines and the gentle play of light on the brass surface. The satin gold sheen creates a warm atmosphere, while the understated form integrates seamlessly into the daily rhythm of the interior. The design recalls the attention to detail and proportion typical of the 1970s, introducing a subtle reference to collectible Northern European design. It can be suspended above a dining table or as a focal point in a living room, highlighting the symmetry of the space. It pairs well with wooden furniture featuring pronounced grain or with upholstered elements in subdued, natural tones. Combining it with ceramic or glass accessories will reflect the light from the brass surface. Warm-toned bulbs will enhance the lamp's golden hue, while surroundings in beige, grey or bottle green will create a cohesive setting referencing the aesthetics of the 1970s.
