ABOUT PRODUCTID 6401
This cabinet, designed by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik in the 1960s, is a refined example of Danish modernism rooted in material honesty and craftsmanship. The body features a teak veneer in a warm, medium brown shade with pronounced, natural wood grain, while the slightly tapered legs and handles are crafted from solid teak. The semi-matte, smooth top accentuates the gentle sheen of the wood, and the cabinet’s proportions—100 cm wide, 75 cm high, 47 cm deep—are carefully balanced. The doors are flat and flush with the frame, fitted with minimalist rectangular teak handles that embody the principle of functional simplicity. Inside, a black adjustable shelf offers versatile storage options. Discreet brass-toned hinges complement the wood, and the construction ensures easy access throughout the interior. The condition is very good, with only minor traces of use and careful surface refreshment visible. This piece echoes the voice of 1960s Danish restraint:
