This collectible calligraphy pen, dating from the turn of the 20th century, is a refined example of craftsmanship at the intersection of Historicism and Art Nouveau. The 18 cm handle is intricately carved from natural bone, its creamy, subtly satin surface highlighting the authentic nuances of the material. Raised floral motifs, characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement, envelop the slender shaft, offering both decorative appeal and an ergonomic grip. The metal collar joining the bone handle to the writing element is crafted from silvered brass, its cool sheen complementing the bone’s tones.
