The Smena Symbol is an analog 35mm camera produced in the USSR from 1971, representing the essence of utilitarian Soviet modernism in the 1970s. Its deep, nearly black-brown plastic body features a subtle reddish-violet cast and a matte finish, contrasted by metallic silver aluminum trims and a lens ring. The front panel is defined by prominent horizontal ridges, giving a tactile and visually distinctive structure. The Cyrillic logo and model name appear on silvered nameplates around the lens. The Symbol model is equipped with the reliable T-43 triplet
