ABOUT PRODUCTID 108
This antique carafe and glass set is crafted from hand-blown glass in a vibrant, cool-toned turquoise blue. The glass is semi-transparent with a subtle glossy finish, revealing air bubbles and slight irregularities characteristic of 19th-century craftsmanship. Both carafe and glass are adorned with a delicately hand-painted floral motif in white enamel: fern-like leaves and small flowers with yellow centers encircle the widest part of the carafe and the upper section of the glass. The decoration, applied in the 'Mary Gregory' technique, reflects a style popular at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in Bohemia (present-day Czech Republic), the origin of this piece. The carafe has a bulbous body with a long, slender neck and gently flared rim, while the glass is cylindrical with vertical optic ribbing that gives it a distinct texture. The set is preserved in very good condition, with no visible chips or cracks and only minor signs of use typical for its age.
