This antique Persian Heriz Karayah carpet, measuring approximately 440 x 150 cm, is an outstanding example of early 20th-century Iranian weaving. Hand-knotted from high-quality, thick wool using the traditional Ghiordes (Turkish) knot, the pile is dense and durable. The dominant hue is a deep, warm madder red, which forms the base and radiates a noble character, interwoven with saturated indigo and navy geometric medallions and borders.
