This hand-knotted Persian Meshed carpet, measuring 245 x 340 cm, originates from Mashhad, a renowned weaving center in northeastern Iran with a rich artisanal heritage. The rug is crafted from high-quality wool, with a dense and meticulously executed weave that ensures both durability and refined visual detail. At its heart, an elaborate medallion in navy blue and ivory is framed by intricate arabesques and floral motifs, all bordered by a wide, multi-layered band in deep navy with light blue and ivory accents. The main field is a deep, cool burgundy red, harmoniously accented with beige, olive green, gold, and touches of rust. The surface is smooth and subtly lustrous, with edges and fringes neatly finished. The overall condition is very good, with only minor signs of use typical for a piece of this caliber. The carpet tells a story of Persian sensitivity to harmony and detail: its expansive medallion and winding floral arabesques evoke the atmosphere of Safavid miniature gardens, where every motif carries meaning and the palette pulses with the calm strength of tradition. The red ground echoes that of historic palace carpets, the navy and cream outlines lend rhythm, and the slight sheen of the wool pile allows light to softly play across the surface, revealing depth and texture. This is a rug that invites slow discovery, each viewing unveiling new intricacies. It can serve as a focal point in a living room, study, or spacious dining area, establishing a classic foundation for further arrangement. Pairing with solid
