ABOUT PRODUCTID 29645
This ceiling lamp designed by Helena Tynell for Limburg, produced in Germany in the 1960s/70s, stands as a refined example of mid-century modern lighting. The shade, 26 cm in diameter, is crafted from hand-blown glass in a light amber tone with a hint of champagne; its surface features a pronounced geometric bubble pattern that gives the form a three-dimensional, decorative presence. The upper section is defined by a matte, subtly patinated brass cylinder, displaying fine age-related marks and scratches typical of original vintage pieces. The lamp is suspended on a thin black cord, visually lifting the composition towards the ceiling. The proportions are balanced: the compact, regular glass block contrasts with the taller brass cylinder. The lamp carries the original manufacturer’s sticker. It is preserved in very good condition: the glass is free of damage, the brass shows gentle patina and only minimal traces of use. This lamp narrates the spirit of the 1960s, when geometry and the sensuality of material merged with everyday light. The amber glass evokes interiors where light shimmered like in a crystal decanter, and the raised forms of the shade
