The Charlottenborg PH 6 1/2-6 ceiling lamp was designed by Sophus Frandsen and Ebbe Christensen in 1979, building upon Poul Henningsen’s iconic concept for Louis Poulsen. Created specifically for the Charlottenborg Exhibition Hall in Copenhagen, this enlarged model continues the PH tradition with its four concentric metal shades arranged in gently curved, harmonious layers. The lamp’s construction features a matte, slightly warm white finish that is consistent across all surfaces, free from decorative accents or patterns. The wide, overlapping shades are separated by minimalist, brushed metal spacers, adding industrial refinement and ensuring even light diffusion. At the top, a cylindrical metal element in matte silver anchors the suspension cable. All visible elements are original and in excellent condition, with no dents, scratches, or signs of wear.
