This large ceiling light, designed by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors in the 1960s, exemplifies Scandinavian modernism with its distinctive form and material quality. The hand-blown glass shade displays a warm, smoky light brown hue, featuring a subtle gradient—darker at the top, gradually becoming lighter and more transparent towards the edge. The surface is adorned with a raised bubble pattern, adding tactile and visual texture characteristic of Fagerlund’s work. Inside, a clear, faceted crystal glass diffuser softens and breaks the light, creating a gentle, inviting glow. The pendant is suspended from a polished brass rod and chain, with a light patina evident on the brass and two horizontal pins accenting the neck of the shade.
