This centerpiece bowl, crafted in 1950 by the renowned Mandruzatto glassworks in Murano, exemplifies the finest postwar Italian glass artistry. Made using the layered, colored-in-the-mass crystal technique known as the 'sun technique' (sommerso), attributed to Flavio Poli, the bowl features double, elongated handles and a flowing, undulating rim—hallmarks of 1950s Italian modernism. Its color transitions from deep amber-brown at the rim to lighter honey-gold and finally to a transparent, slightly green-tinged crystal at the base, creating a striking gradient effect. Measuring 19 cm in height, 47 cm in length, and 20 cm in width, the bowl is highly polished, with a glossy, smooth surface and a substantial, hand-finished base for stability. The condition is excellent, with no damage or signs of restoration.
