This ceramic bowl by Anne & Peter Stougaard exemplifies Danish craftsmanship from the 1960s and 70s, originating from the artists' studio on the island of Bornholm. Hand-thrown from stoneware, the bowl is glazed in a deep, earthy brown with subtle transitions to olive green and rusty orange. The glaze is matte with a gentle satin sheen, accentuating vertical streaks and speckles, while the rounded, slightly irregular form with a thick rim and a pronounced, raised foot reveals the hand of the maker. The base is left raw and unglazed, with visible glaze drips at the foot, further highlighting the artisanal approach.
