The DSC 106 – Velvet chair is a contemporary take on Giancarlo Piretti’s classic design for Anonima Castelli, rooted in the Italian design tradition of the 1960s. Its construction features a metal frame with a polished chrome finish, paired with slender, cylindrical legs in an almost black tone, completed by small round foot caps. Both the seat and the backrest are upholstered in a deep, matte velvet fabric in a cool, saturated violet with aubergine undertones. The chair’s proportions reflect mid-century modern principles: a wide, comfortable seat, gently reclined backrest, and a functional, stackable structure. Precise, visible joints and metal corner brackets highlight attention to durability and detail.
