ABOUT PRODUCTID 6169
The IW2 model chair is a creation by Illum Wikkelsø, designed in 1960s Denmark and produced by the renowned Niels Eilersen workshop. Its structure is crafted from solid beech wood in a warm, honey-toned satin-matte finish that highlights the natural grain while providing a gentle sheen. The design features clean, organically curved lines, vertical spindles in the backrest, wide and smoothly contoured armrests, and a low, generously proportioned seat. Both the seat and backrest have removable cushions, upholstered in a high-quality, medium-gray fabric with a pronounced weave; the back cushion is accented with three fabric-covered buttons for subtle decoration. The cushions are affixed with discreet ties, and precise joinery—visible dowels and mortise-and-tenon joints—attests to the chair's skilled craftsmanship. The piece remains in good condition: the wood displays light traces of use and a natural patina, while the upholstery has been newly replaced. The chair is ready for immediate use. This chair embodies the spirit of Danish mid-century modernism: simplicity here does not mean auster
