This 19th-century chamberstick from the Fraget manufactory in Warsaw exemplifies the balanced elegance and refined simplicity of neoclassical design. Crafted from silver-plated brass, it features a cool, silvery sheen with a polished surface that shows subtle patina and fine scratches – evidence of authentic age and use. The round, flat base transitions seamlessly to a centrally positioned candle holder, adorned with understated classical moldings. The handle is gracefully curved into an upward loop, echoing utilitarian yet decorative motifs typical of 19th-century craftsmanship. The construction is solid, with visible soldered joints at the base of the candle holder and handle, and its proportions underscore the object’s harmonious presence.
