This Art Deco chandelier from Kraków, dating to the 1920s, embodies a striking interplay of geometric design and refined materials. The structure is crafted from chrome-plated brass with a mirror-like silver finish that elegantly contrasts the warmth of the marbleized glass shades. Ten light points are arranged across two tiers, each supported by gracefully arched chrome arms radiating from a central chrome sphere. The globular glass shades, finished to a high gloss in creamy beige and brown marble tones, evoke the period’s sense of luxury. The proportions are harmonious: a prominent vertical rod anchors the composition, while the radiating arms add balance and rhythm. All connections are precise and discreet, a testament to the craftsmanship of the era. Original ceramic sockets have been preserved, while the electrical installation and chrome plating were renewed during a professional restoration in a renowned Kraków workshop. The chandelier is in very good, fully restored condition, with no visible damage or signs of wear.This piece resonates with the spirit of the interwar years—an era when design was both a statement of modernity and an invitation to optimism.
