This chandelier, designed by Paolo Venini for the Venini manufactory, exemplifies Italian 1960s design where clear glass drops are paired with a polished gold metal frame. The tall, slender construction (112 cm in height and 30 cm in width) is built on a vertical axis; its airy, openwork form creates harmonious geometry characteristic of mid-century modern with an Italian touch of glamour. The glass elements, attached with faceted beads, are shaped like elongated droplets—smooth, transparent, and softly rounded at the tips. The gold metal parts reflect light, highlighting the clarity of the glass and giving the piece a striking, decorative presence.
