ABOUT PRODUCTID 10341
The Orion 2066/33 chandelier, designed by Emil Stejnar for Rupert Nikoll in Austria during the 1960s, is a collectible example of mid-century modern lighting. Its sculptural form is based on a spherical structure composed of radiating, precisely crafted brass rods, finished with 24-carat gold plating. The architecture is adorned with numerous faceted beads and star-shaped ornaments made of Austrian crystal, capturing and dispersing light throughout the fixture. Each of the 33 E14 bulbs is positioned at the end of a brass arm, casting a warm amber glow. The chandelier is suspended from a matching gold-plated ceiling canopy, with all elements preserved in their original, signed state—showing no signs of restoration, damage, or wear. The crystals remain clear and complete, while the gold finish appears consistent and untarnished.Orion tells the story of the 1960s—a period when light and form converged in experimental, dynamic designs. Its Sputnik-inspired silhouette reflects the era's fascination with space and the postwar optimism of technological advancement. The gilded rods evoke stellar bursts, and the crystal details refract light like miniature comets
