The RIO 110 cm chandelier by Thoro is constructed around a large aluminum LED ring with a diameter of 110 cm. The slender profile – 40 mm high and 8 mm wide – is finished in matte black with a subtly textured, grainy surface, covering both the ring and the ceiling canopy for a unified appearance. Three thin steel cables and a central power cord in a white plastic sheath ensure both stability and a sense of visual lightness. The underside of the ring contains a continuous LED strip concealed by a milky white diffuser, delivering soft, even light without visible hotspots. The absence of visible screws or joints maintains the purity of the form. Materials are limited to aluminum, steel, and plastic, and the entire fixture is produced in Poland.RIO 110 is a visual statement of contemporary design – light encased in a circle that seems to float effortlessly in space, while the matte black finish emphasizes its graphic outline.
