ABOUT PRODUCTID 1814
This Space Age chandelier from the 1960s, produced by E.S.I. Nowa Huta in Kraków, is a vivid example of modernist design inspired by the era of space exploration. The structure combines metal and plastic, with a glossy, intense red dominating the starburst pattern radiating from the central ring. Four large, elongated shades in white—crafted from either plastic or glass—create a striking contrast with the red panels, underscoring the lamp’s futuristic character. The central mounting ring and rod are made of metal with a matte or lightly brushed finish, while the ceiling cup is rendered in a warm ivory-toned plastic with a satin texture. The construction is precise, with sharp edges and well-fitted joints that emphasize the architectural discipline of the design. Smooth, glossy surfaces reflect light, enhancing the vibrancy of the color. The chandelier is equipped with E27 sockets, allowing the use of contemporary bulbs. It is preserved in excellent condition, free from visible damage or signs of wear. The form of this lamp instantly transports the imagination to an era when humanity gazed at the sky with hope
