ABOUT PRODUCTID 14436
This chandelier, attributed to Paolo Venini for VeArt, exemplifies 1960s Italian glassmaking and was produced on Murano. A chrome-plated metal frame supports numerous hand-shaped, clear glass petals, each featuring an organic, undulating outline and a distinct central ridge that recalls leaf or flower forms. The cool, transparent glass and precise, spherical geometry lend a sculptural presence to the fixture, while a polished chain and ceiling cap evoke signature mid-century modern aesthetics. The chandelier uses 10 centrally positioned E14 light sources, distributing illumination evenly through the composition. Both the glass and metal parts are in very good original condition, with only subtle, age-appropriate patina visible on the metal components. This piece channels the voice of 1960s Italian design, echoing an era when Murano glass found new artistic vibrancy. The hand-molded glass refracts and reflects light, casting intricate patterns of shadow and brilliance across surfaces. The textured glass petals evoke a nature-driven ethos typical of the period—here, light is not just utilitarian but becomes an expressive, scenic element. As a striking centrepiece, this chandelier works best in a spacious living area or above a dining table, where its airy structure allows light to flow freely through each glass element
