ABOUT PRODUCTID 1539
This cheese container with a goat figurine is an example of late 19th-century French craftsmanship, fashioned from thick, semi-translucent glass in a cool light green shade with a subtle gradient. The vessel's body features a gently flared bowl with a smooth, glossy surface that softly reflects light. The upper section and lid are finished with silver mounts in a matte-satin texture, adorned with delicately engraved leaf motifs encircling the rim, and two heraldic coat-of-arms appliqués on either side of the lid. The most distinctive detail is the three-dimensional silver goat figurine serving as the handle—rendered with precise anatomical features and textured fur. The robust silver mounts, including side handles, display visible hallmarks, attesting to the piece's authenticity and artisanal precision. Its proportions are harmonious: the glass insert has a diameter of 10.5 cm, and the piece measures 10.5 cm in height, 11 cm in width, and 11.5 cm in length. The silver weight is approximately 160 g. The piece is preserved in excellent condition, with no traces of wear, damage, or restoration, confirming its status as a collector's item. This container speaks in the voice of late 19th-century
