This Danish chest of drawers, crafted in the 1980s, draws on the Scandinavian tradition of utility-focused modernism. The wooden frame is clad in a deep mahogany veneer with a rich red-brown tone and semi-matte, satin finish that enhances the natural grain patterns throughout. A broad, sculpted solid wood frame encircles the main structure, lending visual solidity, while the low plinth base with gently rounded molding stabilizes the form and gives the impression of it subtly hovering above the floor. The five spacious drawers operate via oval, brushed brass handles in a muted golden shade—a detail emblematic of late 1980s Scandinavian design. There is no designer's signature or manufacturer’s mark, but the high standard of construction, seamless joints, and lack of visible hardware all attest to its Danish provenance.
