This teak chest of drawers, designed by Brodrene Blindheim for Sykklven in Norway during the 1960s, embodies the essence of Scandinavian mid-century modernism. The piece combines solid teak and teak veneer, accented by rosewood trims at the upper edges of the drawers. Four sliding drawers rest on slender, tapered legs, creating a balanced composition with restrained lines. The integrated, wave-like handles organically merge with the drawer fronts, adding a distinctive rhythm to the design. With its compact proportions (height 66 cm, width 65 cm, depth 33 cm, weight 14.5 kg), the surface is marked by a subtle, even patina, while a faint discoloration on the top attests to its authentic vintage origin.
