A multifunctional figurine made of pressed wood, which serves as a candle holder, incense burner, bookend, and art object. Each piece is hand-painted and signed. Every LUDISM design is inspired by legends and Polish folklore. Chochoł is the most recognizable symbol of Polish folklore, symbolizing transformation and the passage of time. According to legend, it awakens at night, whispering secrets or revealing visions of the future. Designed and made in Poland by Ola Niepsuj, Karol Pasternak, and Piotr Maciaszek. Legend: Chochoł – a straw phantom, guardian of the fields, and master of survival. Chochoł stands between two worlds — the past and the future, life and death.
