ABOUT PRODUCTID 13182
This Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) cigar container, made of brass, originates from Germany in the early 20th century. The body presents a warm, subdued gold tone accentuated by a rich natural patina, the result of authentic brass aging. The top rim undulates in an organic wave, creating gentle folds — a hallmark of Art Nouveau, with its affinity for fluid, nature-inspired lines. The cylindrical form, featuring a subtly uneven, hand-worked texture, is free from embossed or inlaid decoration, while the broad, flat bottom with rounded edges lends the piece a grounded stability. Absence of visible seams reflects careful, traditional craftsmanship. The container is preserved in good antique condition: patina, discoloration, and traces of oxidation are consistent with age; there are no cracks, chips, or structural imperfections. The brass tells its story through the language of Jugendstil — a time when forms borrowed from lilies and flowing water replaced the angular, yielding to curves and lightness of touch. It integrates well with other Secessionist-period accessories: a glazed ceramic tray, a brass pen holder, or lamps with opaline glass shades. Alternatively, juxtaposing it with minimalist textiles or
