The limited re-edition of the poster “Circus – Leafy Lion,” originally created by Hubert Hilscher in 1967, was printed in Poland in 2023 in an edition of 500 pieces, format B1 (97.6 × 66.5 cm). The design balances a saturated orange background with a dynamically styled mane in vibrant shades of green, blue, and turquoise, complemented by accents of burgundy, white, black, and deep brown. The lion’s figure, with geometric divisions, an expressive face, playful arrangement of teeth, and intense red-and-pale-blue eyes, is finished with a decorative “CYRK” inscription and emblem referencing classic Polish circus graphics. Produced via offset print on premium paper with a matte finish, the poster emphasizes the richness of color and graphical clarity. The design distills the playful visual vocabulary of the Polish School of Posters—bold stylization, geometric simplification, and a subtly grotesque sense of humor. The organic, leafy mane evokes the motion of scattered leaves, bringing dynamism to the otherwise static portrait of the lion.
