The Donatello coffee cup and saucer set hails from the Rosenthal manufactory in Germany, produced during the 1920s. This ensemble comprises a lightweight cup and matching saucer, both crafted from high-grade white porcelain—glazed to a crisp, glossy finish. The cup’s proportions are elegant and balanced: height 4.7 cm, rim diameter 8.5 cm, length 11.5 cm; the saucer measures 14.5 cm in diameter. Rooted in the Art Nouveau style, the decoration features hand-painted tea roses in hues of peach, apricot, and gentle pinks, surrounded by freely brushed foliage in soft green and olive. The floral motifs wrap the entire cup and dominate the saucer, unified by an impressionistic painterly technique.
