ABOUT PRODUCTID 19387
The cup and saucer set from the 'Krokus' line is a 1960 design by Wincenty Potacki for the Ćmielów Porcelain Factory. Made of smooth porcelain, each piece is hand-painted in a saturated, raspberry-pink tone with a gentle, glossy finish. Small, circular gold accents featuring a crosshatched geometric pattern are arranged in a consistent rhythm around the body of the cup and the rim of the saucer. Both rims, as well as the slender handle, are gilded, lending a refined quality. The saucer's white central area creates a visual contrast with the surrounding pink and gold, enhancing the minimalist, geometric composition characteristic of 1960s modernist design – a hallmark of mid-century Polish applied arts. The set is preserved in very good condition: the porcelain is smooth, free of chips or cracks, with only minor signs of surface wear visible on the saucer. This cup speaks with the voice of the 1960s: modernity and simplicity balanced with careful attention to detail. Its modernist form and geometric gold points reflect a fascination with order
