The 'Płaski' coffee pot from Ćmielów is an icon of 1930s Polish design, produced by the renowned porcelain factory in central Poland. Its form draws on Art Deco geometry: a distinctly flattened oval body sits on a small rectangular base, topped by a perfectly fitting lid with a pronounced finial. The glossy porcelain emphasizes the clarity of the cobalt blue glaze, which contrasts sharply with the crisp white of the spout and lid rim and the deep black of the handle and knob.
