The 'Prometeusz' coffee pot is a design by Danuta Duszniak for the Chodzież Porcelain Works, created in the 1950s–60s. Crafted from glazed porcelain, the pot stands out with its vivid, high-gloss orange finish covering the lower two-thirds of the body. The upper section—including the lid, spout, and elegantly curved handle—is finished in mirrored, chrome-like silver, creating a striking modernist contrast. The form is classically mid-century modern: an elongated, gently conical body, tall slender spout, and a sculptural teardrop-shaped finial on the lid. The manufacturer's mark, 'C | CHODZIEŻ | MADE IN POLAND', appears on the bottom. The construction is harmonious, with seamless transitions between the colored and metallic sections. The pot is preserved in very good condition, showing no chips, cracks, or signs of wear, and retains its original finish.This coffee pot embodies the optimistic, futuristic spirit of Polish modernism in the 1960s.
