ABOUT PRODUCTID 4806
The "Adam" coffee set is an icon of Polish 1960s modernism, designed by Stanisław Skomiał for the Wałbrzych Porcelain Factory. Designed for six people, the set includes a tall, slender coffee pot (height 24 cm, base diameter 10 cm, length 21 cm), six cups (height 7 cm, diameter 6.6 cm), saucers (diameter 13.6 cm), a sugar bowl (height 12 cm, diameter 8 cm), and a creamer (height 8 cm). The smooth, high-quality porcelain features a vivid glossy orange color, interrupted by vertical white panels adorned with hand-painted black lines arranged in a geometric, slightly irregular rhythm. Handles and spouts are elongated and delicately curved, emphasizing the lightness and proportion of the entire design. The set's minimalist yet striking form draws from the geometric abstraction typical of the era. Every piece is marked with the Wałbrzych factory signature. The set is in very good condition, with only a minor chip visible on one cup. The "Adam" set tells the story of a time when Polish design boldly experimented with color and form, following international modernist trends. The orange porcelain, interspersed with expressive black lines, evokes the spirit of the 1960s, when geometric compositions and bold color pairings symbolized modernity, optimism, and hope for the future. Each cup seems a snapshot from an era when everyday rituals gained an artistic dimension
