This Art Deco console table from the 1930s is a concise study in geometric form and refined materials, emblematic of the era’s design sensibility. The tabletop and drawer front are rendered in a high-quality mahogany or walnut veneer, exhibiting a deep reddish-brown hue with pronounced linear grain and a soft, semi-gloss lacquer finish. Visually striking double U-shaped supports in polished chrome create a cool, reflective counterpoint to the natural warmth of the wood. The base is composed of matching wooden plinths in the shape of elongated, tapered rectangles, elegantly mirroring the rhythm of the chrome arches. The table features a single central drawer, fitted with two lustrous chrome sphere pulls and a central horizontal chrome handle.
