This pendant lamp, designed by Bent Nordsted for the Danish brand Lyskaer in the 1970s, exemplifies Scandinavian lighting design. Its construction consists of a series of concentric, horizontal discs made from satin-finished aluminum in a warm copper tone. The widest plate at the base is finished in a light, creamy color underneath, enhancing the even diffusion of light. The lamp is suspended from a black fabric-covered cord and finished with a new metal ceiling rose. Light is directed both downward, sideways, and upward, creating a softly illuminated accent within the interior. The absence of visible screws and the seamless, smooth connections highlight the precision of its craftsmanship.
