ABOUT PRODUCTID 38111
This gilded, silver-plated creamer was produced around 1850 by the renowned Fraget workshop in Warsaw, a leading Polish manufacturer of fine plated wares in the 19th century. The body is crafted from copper, silver-plated on the exterior with a highly polished, mirror-like finish, while the interior is richly gilded in a warm golden tone. The vessel features a bulbous form with a pronounced shoulder, tapering toward the neck and flaring elegantly at the spout for ease of pouring. The handle is distinguished by elaborate Rococo Revival scrollwork, and the circular base is adorned with a finely detailed frieze of floral and foliate motifs. The surface is smooth and lustrous, with subtle traces of patina visible near the base and handle. Exceptionally well-preserved, the creamer shows only minor surface scratches and gentle age-appropriate tarnish, with all original elements intact and no major damages. This creamer tells the story of Warsaw craftsmanship in the mid-19th century—a period when the ritual of serving tea or coffee was both a social and aesthetic statement. The Rococo Revival ornaments evoke the refined elegance of parlors where tableware played a central role in daily rituals. The cool, silvery sheen contrasts with the warmth of the gilded interior, suggesting a quiet theatricality
