ABOUT PRODUCTID 19376
The Ada cup, an original design by Wincenty Potacki for the Ćmielów Porcelain Factory, was introduced in the early 1970s. The set – cup and saucer – is fashioned from smooth, high-quality glazed porcelain. The body is distinguished by a rich amber-orange color with a moderate sheen that covers almost the entire exterior and the rim of the saucer. A unique pattern of irregular golden streaks, organic and spontaneous in nature, creates a network of shimmering reflections across the surfaces. The gilding is applied with a metallic luster, especially along the rim and on the fully gilded handle, where gentle patina and wear at the base reflect age and authentic use. The lower part of the cup and the center of the saucer remain porcelain white, providing strong graphic contrast and emphasizing the geometric clarity of the composition. The slightly flared cup sits atop a distinctive faceted base, characteristic of the late modernist period of Polish design. There are no chips or cracks; the glaze and gilded decoration have been preserved remarkably well. Condition: very good, with only minor patina on the handle's gilding indicative of careful, decades-long use. This porcelain clearly
